Should I volunteer for a zoo if I want to be a zookeeper?
I'm in 10th grade and I was wondering if it would affect anything if I'm volunteering at a zoo and enroll in zoology,like if it would BOOST my chances in getting into a college. I know that it sounds stupid,but it was by BFF's advice and she usually never lies.Thank you for listening! Pls help!馃

That sounds like a great idea! Even if it doesn't directly help you get into college, which I'm rather sure it will, it's great work experience, you'll learn a lot, and you're almost certainly going to have a nice time doing it, since it's something you're clearly passionate about. I say go for it!
as a general rule, doing extracurriculars or volunteering or working in the field you eventually want to study is always a good thing to do, and will always help you in some way. it'll make your application feel more complete and comprehensive and yeah it could boost your chances in some way.
Yea, I think maybe this could give you a slight bump especially if you don't have many other ECs on your profile now. Even if it doesn't help too much you'll get an idea of what it's like to work in a zoo so you can see if you do actually like zoology enough to major in it.
