Question About Audited Courses on College Applications
I have a question about college applications. If I complete an online course by auditing it (without earning the official certificate), can I still list it on my application as a completed course, or is it only considered a certification if I receive the official certificate?

Yes, you can still list it! While you shouldn't claim it as official academic credit or a verified certification without the credential, it fits perfectly in the "Extracurriculars" or "Additional Information" section. Admissions officers value self-directed learning and genuine curiosity, regardless of whether you paid for the certificate鈥攋ust be clear in your description that you audited the course.
