Hi! Im currently a senior in high school! I want to go to my local 4-year university and then transfer to a better university because I just don't like the environment of my university however I didn't do great in high school. I was wondering if that's possible? I'll tell you my stats and maybe you can help me understand the transfer process and if I should transfer? In high school I got a 3.43 unweighted GPA, (they don't tell us the weighted but Im assuming its around a 3.6) I got mostly A's, some B's and 2 Cs :(. I took and passed 2 AP exams: APUSH (3) this counts for credit at my local university, and AP World History, this also counts for credit. 8 Dual Enrollment classes: fall 2024: Intro to psychology (B), spring 2025: English 1010 (A), positive Psychology Fall 2025: (B), Geography (B), English 1020 (A), Probability and stats (A), Spring 2026: Intro to social work (goal: A), Communications (goal: A or B), and intro to sociology (goal: A). I also took 2 honors but I don't think this will matter. I'm assuming that once I start at my local uni I'll be considered a sophomore and then I hope to transfer! Please let me know if this plan is even achievable or realistic? Thank you so much!
