Hi everyone, I鈥檓 a junior in high school aiming for MIT, and I鈥檝e been building a plan for my application. I鈥檇 appreciate any advice or feedback on how to improve my chances!
Current Focus Areas:
Leadership experience (organizing a robotics competition)
Working on research papers in robotics and physics
Areas for Improvement:
SAT score: Currently aiming for 1500+
Looking to gain more research experience to show passion for robotics/physics
Working to improve in key subjects like Math and Physics
Plan Moving Forward:
My daily schedule includes study time for subjects, robotics research, competitive programming prep (IOI/ZCO/INOI), and SAT/ACT prep.
Seeking strong recommendation letters from teachers and mentors.
Participate in competitions and build robotics projects to showcase my skills.
Questions:
How can I strengthen my profile, especially in research and leadership?
What else can I do to balance academics, competitive programming, and extracurriculars?
How do I address the red flags, such as improving my SAT score and showcasing academic growth?
