How much can I improve my GPA?

Hi!! I'm about to finish my Junior year of high school and I currently have an unweighted GPA of 3.72. Would it be possible for me to get it up to a 3.85 if I get all A's next year?

Also, this might be a dumb/obvious question but even if I were to raise it by the end of senior year, would it even matter when it comes to college? Because I would've already submitted most of my apps by December.

Im making quite a few assumptions here, namely:

Your school allows you to take 8 classes per semester

You have not taken any summer courses.

Your school does not offer multiple credits per course, 1 semester = 1 credit regardless of weight or dual enrollment.

The formula for calculating what all A鈥檚 (and yes, colleges do eventually get your semester 1 senior grades but don鈥檛 factor semester 2 into the admission process) in your first semester of senior year would be:

((483.72) + (48))/(48+8) = 3.76. So it wouldn鈥檛 be possible with this criteria to raise it to a 3.85.

The good news? College admissions is holistic and colleges generally recalculate GPA and focus more on letter grades and course rigor, so GPA isn鈥檛 the end-all-be-all for getting into your dream school.

Let me know if any of these assumptions are incorrect and I will adjust accordingly.
