How can I improve my ACT score quickly? Attempting to go from a 31 to 34 - testing in June.

Hi there! I'm a junior, and I recently took the ACT for the first time and got a 31. I didn't study for the test at all - my school administered it and I missed its announcement, so I didn't even know we were taking it. I got a 33 on English and reading, a 32 on science, and a 26 on math (I didn't finish this section in time - I think I had ~5 questions left). I'm registering again to take the June exam, and my goal is a 34. I have a 504 plan that allowed me 50% extra time per section on my first ACT, but it's since been updated to provide me twice as much time, which I think will be immensely helpful. I took the ACT online for the first time, and I think I prefer it. My weakest section is math, and the ability for me to use Desmos is beneficial. I'm open to taking the traditional paper test, too, which I'm pretty neutral about for every section but math. If the paper test is easier, I'd rather take it, though! I also wasn't planning on taking the writing portion, but I am strongest in English/writing, so if you think it would benefit my score, I'll totally take it! Any tips to improve my score are greatly appreciated - I know this is an ambitious jump! Thank you so much! <3

Hey :)

Disclaimer: I haven鈥檛 taken the ACT yet - these are only tips that have helped for my pre-ACTs and what I鈥檝e heard.

Through the college board, there鈥檚 an app called Bluebook. There鈥檚 ACT either test prep or practice, I haven鈥檛 tried that yet; however, I did take a practice PSAT. Once you finish the test, you can review your answers with detailed explanations of them and why you got it wrong. This definitely helped my scores (I鈥檓 also weakest in math, but it helped with English and Reading as well). With science, try to ask your teacher for ACT-type practice questions, mine was able to provide a few to me. I鈥檝e heard that the writing portion is easy, free points if you鈥檙e good at it, so I definitely think you should take it.

Good luck and I wish you all the best!!
