Is it okay not to take AP classes? Will it affect my chances in college?

Hi,

My school doesn't offer any AP or Honors classes (besides the one I'm in now), However, they have Dual Credit Classes (which I signed up for DC Bio and DC English). Will it affect my admissions chances for college if I don't take any AP classes but take Dual Credit?

Hey :)

It won鈥檛 affect your admissions chances, colleges take into consideration what your school offers. You鈥檙e taking the more rigorous course that鈥檚 offered, and that鈥檚 what matters.

Big note: when you apply, make sure to ask your counselor or whoever is in charge of helping with admissions send out an email to the places you wanna go to to explain why u didn't take ap courses!!!!
