If anything, it might help. Colleges don鈥檛 want basic students, they want to create a diverse campus to improve student culture. They don鈥檛 want just rich, snotty, perfect students, rather, they want students like you who are unique and has valuable skills and knowledge that differs from a neurotypical person.

If you want, but make sure to add other stuff that you did, like how you used it as an advantage.

I agree- make sure you highlight how you grew from it. One common mistake is to highlight the struggle (which of course was very real). You want to highlight the good results- how it changed you and how you used it to change others. Stay positive!
