dropping a sport for bringing my gpa up
Answered

Is it bad that I am dropping out from playing badminton to bring my gpa up? I am a sophomore in high school with a 3.25 UW gpa. But badminton is not my only sport I am in varsity tennis, I also do private lessons 1-2 times a week. Including those I do multiple clubs that I have leadership in, I also work as a marketing head for a non profit. so I was wondering if dropping a sport to bring my gpa up and lessen the stress is in a way bad?

I think dropping the sport is worth it in your situation. The GPA is important. But make sure you are continuing to participate in the things you are most passionate about. EG, if you want to play tennis in college, keep that up. Keep the sports/ECs that you love- passion is a key component of the application that is not commonly emphasized but vital nonetheless.

I want to give you the right guidance but if I gave you anything without more information, it would be an injustice to you my friend. Let鈥檚 start with a reply back with how many hours you spend a week on all your extracurricular activities and on a scale from 1-10 how much you enjoy them. You can also include study hours and anything else like that. This is not a quick answer.
