High School Higap

I am going into my first year of high school this fall. I am right now in advanced math so I'm learning Algebra 2. I want to go into Hi-Gap next year but I'm not sure I should. I get mostly 3's and 4's in math and I do all of my homework. But I'm also a bit worried I'll fail the class which would be annoying since I want to finish math as fast as I can so I can go into other subjects like Astrophysics earlier.
