princeton asks you to pick a song that represents the soundtrack of your life at this moment, from my understanding they want a response on the unique side. i chose drunk walk home by mitski, specifically the part where she just screams for a minute to symbolize my inner monologue even though i present mostly calm and collected. is it a bad choice? does it make me sound crazy? idk

As long as you can explain why you selected that song, I think you should be fine; like you said, they just want to see a unique viewpoint and a genuine person. My only concern would be the fact that it has some expletives in it.
I don't know this song specifically. But it really matters more how you explain it. And yes, they definitely would appreciate something unique rather then something they've seen multiple folks choose before.
