Whether or not I should go out of state?
Hi, I am a junior in high school and I was debating the fact if I should go out of state or not. I live in the Midwest where I feel nothing happens around here. I would like to be at least 4-5 hours away but my parents keep reassuring me that I should apply somewhere close. However, I feel that I need to get out of this state immediately and experience something new rather than being surrounded by cornfields. Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you.

To me, it sounds like you want to get out of your state. As long as you can afford tuition, I say go for it. But if you鈥檙e still on the fence, try applying to a couple in state schools as well to balance it out! Overall, do what your heart desires because you鈥檙e going to have to spend the next 4 years wherever you decide to attend鈥� not your parents!
