should i take a BA or BS to help my chances of getting into colleges for astronomy/ physics
Answered

so im a pretty average student: A鈥榮 and B鈥榮, mix of honors, level and a DC class(math), im not really in any clubs but i did marching band all four years and when thats over i am working, my gpa on a 4 point scale is like 3.3 i think (UW), and i got a 1200 on the SAT

im really interested in physics and astronomy, even if im not the best at math or science. and im applying to public and state colleges but im still worried that because i havent done anything in highschool that really stands out specifically to science (its been my one level class these past few years) that i dont have a great chance of taking a BS for astronomy and getting in. but i also know that a BS is more promising career wise than BA

i guess im asking if there鈥檚 really a huge difference and do yall think i should stick to a BA to be safe

neither will matter, and i love that you're sticking with your career path regardless of limitations

just go with what you want (BS for grad schools would be better for example, with enough effort you can alleviate any mathematical shortcomings)
