relevance of HS transcript if you have an associates degree when applying to transfer to ivy or T20

If I graduate community college with an associate degree and apply for transfer to Ivy Leagues and T20 universities, even if they require high school transcript the HS GPA doesn't matter at all right?

This would be an incorrect assumption.

Many Ivys like Harvard, Yale, and Columbia require an HS transcript as part of your transfer requirements. What you did in HS does matter to them.

It would matter less per se if you transferred from Santa Monica Community College into one of the UC schools. In that case, the UC schools are more interested in your CC GPA not your HS GPA.

if you graduate Community College with a 4.0 GPA, then something like a 2.0 GPA in HS won't impact your admission chances right?

A low HS GPA will always be weighed by any Ivy or T20 school regardless of how well you did during the time you attended community college. It would not be accurate to think that your 2.0 HS GPA will not factor in a T20 school admitting you or not as a transfer student. Some of these schools like Harvard, Yale, and Stanford are 3 times as difficult to get into as a transfer student so they are looking for other qualities as well as amazing grades.

Ivy's reject about 95% of their applicants, many of whom have 4.0 GPAs and perfect SAT/ACT test scores. Some Ivys' and T20 transfer rates are even more difficult like rejecting 98% of applicants.
