A few colleges that I have applied to besides sending me virtually informational sessions are now sending me invites to attend a financial aid session and said that my parents are welcome to join - I don鈥檛 understand bc I haven鈥檛 received and accepted letter/email yet. So why are they doing this?

They are doing it mainly for advertising. They want more students to apply so that they have higher applicants because they are either small and trying to grow or just want more students to reject

But I have already applied and have done the virtual sessions and student chats and now I鈥檝e received the financial information sessions

Its almost certainly the generic invites they send other applicants or people who subscribed to their emails, unfortunately. It probably is marketed to other seniors and people who applied, since the most logical next step after applying to college is deciding how to pay for it. Keep an eye out for an admissions decision in the coming weeks/months, but invites to the generic webinars don't indicate you were accepted or denied. I'd double check when the university releases decisions.
