I鈥檓 a senior applying to college. I am torn between astrophysics and medicine, so my current plan is to major in physics/astrophysics/astronomy (based on what鈥檚 offered) while being premed, then sophomore year-ish decide and focus more on the path I decide on. I like biology enough to go into medicine, but I dont like the small picture cell biology part enough to major in biology. Also, if I decide against med school, a bio degree is pretty unemployable. Is that an okay plan? I know physics is a hard major and the mcat is mostly biology, so I鈥檓 worried about my gpa and mcat if I choose medicine. Also, I鈥檓 worried I won鈥檛 be able to take the necessary classes for a good phd program if I choose astrophysics. I got a 5 on AP calc bc last year, and I鈥檓 in AP physics C mechanics right now and it鈥檚 going great. But, eventually these classes will stop being easy. Should I apply into an easier major?
