Is publishing a literature review considered research for colleges?

I recently published a literature review on the Research Archive of Rising Scholars on the topic of gene editing and I was just wondering if this can be considered "research" for schools like the University of Rochester that have a supplemental specifically for those who did research in high school. For some context, a PhD student from UNC helped me research the topic via the internet and helped edit my paper however I was the one who found all the sources and wrote everything. Thank you!
