Research Cold calls and emailsAnswered
I'm a rising junior,
and during the summer or junior year, I was thinking of doing comp science(ai, robotics), biotech, or astronomy-related research and my local universities. I checked and they currently do not have any research-related items for high school students. I was wondering how should write a research email, since I have no experience in the research field except ap bio, and ap comp science. I can code, and am participating in the robotics club, TSA, and other related fields, but I don't know how I should write that in my email?

When you email, introduce yourself, give a brief history of your experience and accomplishments/skills, and explain how you can help. It's super beneficial to do research on the lab or facility you are emailing to make the email more personal and focused. Make sure your email has proper grammar and sounds professional- it goes a loooong way. If you have a resume, it would be good to attach that as well.
