Please help:*Can I transfer to a uni with a 2.5 gpa & 13 cred hrs?

Hello. i was advised to drop a prereq class because my professor was having technical issues with receiving my submitted assignments. The professor was a tough grader, and he was very difficult to understand especially because I was taking his class online. I was fed up with him, saying that I didn鈥檛 submit my assignments even though my last assignment in his class was very detailed. I dropped this class during the drop and add period. I dropped this class while I had a financial aid warning not understanding what that even meant or why I had it. I don鈥檛 struggle academically so I鈥檓 not sure what went wrong. The school i currently attend is a community college and I have a GPA of 2.5 and I鈥檝e only earned 13 credit hours. My gpa was good before dropping this class. My school is not trying to help me figure out if I can transfer to another college/university or what I could do to fix the issues I have. I was wondering if I could go to a 4 year university with a 2.5 GPA and 13 credit hours. I want to start fresh somewhere else. Before enrolling to this community college, I earned my GED. Will I be required to take the SAT or ACT test? I created an account to take my ACT test but I wanted to be sure that if I was a GED graduate if I could take it. I heard that some people start fresh at a new college/university. Will I still be able to keep my already earned credits? I need advice on this.

I haven't had too much experience with the difficulties you are having, but I can say a few things. That gpa is equivalent to a C letter grade average, which isn't the end of the world considering it was due to dropping the class. Depending on what school you're looking to pursue, do a little investigating or call their school advisors for those specifications, if they're willing. Most schools I've seen take no lower than a 2.0 gpa before youre booted. Im not sure if this was helpful. Good luck.
