Does UC rate COSMOS at UCSC much higher than UCSC SIP ?

UCSC SIP is more highly regarded by colleges because it is a research internship program with an equity focus. While the COSMOS program is certainly regarded well too, it is more similar to traditional college summer school programs than SIP and does not offer the same level of hands-on research opportunities.
