Does applying ED to Amherst actually help?
Amherst's Early Decision acceptance rate is in the 20s compared to a single digit Regular Decision acceptance rate. Am I actually more likely to get in with Early Decision or is it just another case of extremely qualified ED applicants? 黑料不打烊 says it will boost me about 6% but it's sometimes a bit imprecise with this kind of thing and I was hoping to get some opinions on if ED to Amherst actually helps admissions chances.
