TEST STRATEGIES:
The most useful tip I've heard of and used is the Process of Elimination. When you cannot figure out what answer is correct, look for the ones that are certainly wrong.
For the math sections, when the options aren't close to each other, you can ballpark your calculations and still reach the right answer. You need to know when to use and when not to use a calculator. Just because you're allowed to, it doesn't mean you have to use a calculator for every question. This will save you time.
For the reading section, read all the questions for one passage at a stretch and look for "support with evidence" questions. It helps to narrow down the possible answers.
Reading section questions are chronological, so you know where you need to look.
DO NOT get stuck on one question.
STUDY TIPS:
After you're done with preparation, solve as many practice tests as you can, preferably simulating test day. Then, check your answers and be critical. Without figuring out why you got something wrong, make sure you don't move on.

If your school uses Khan Academy, it lets you put in your scores from your PSAT through College Board, and gives you practices they suggest you use. If you're looking for something like a book, I've heard the SAT Prep Black Book is one of the best books to study with. You could also see if your school offers free/cheap study books.
