Which Program is more prestigious, AICE Cambridge, or IB
Answered

So I am in 8th grade and I am having a tough time deciding whether to choose IB or the AICE Cambridge. I've heard amazing things about both and I like the flexibility of AICE Cambridge but I also like the way IB prepares you for a college environment. Both sound like good programs, but since I want to go to an Ivy League school, I want to know which is more rigorous or prestigious, so I have a better chance of getting into the school of my choice.

Thanks for your help, William

While both programs are quite rigorous, IB is more prestigious because of its college-prep focus. Taking IB classes will improve your chances of admission the most. Hope this helps!

They are both great! IB is recognized everywhere, including the U.S. Cambridge is also recognized everywhere, but less prestigious than IB in the U.S.

I did Cambridge and wish I had the opportunity to do IB.

I'm not sure how this works where you live, but from what I know, you start IB when you're 16 or so years old, and the IB program is 2 years long. So, either your school has a pre-IB program as well, or Cambridge, or they mix it up. Some people do Cambridge GCSE/IGCSE/O-Level and then follow that with 2 years of IB instead of A-levels. I would suggest asking somebody familiar with the way things work in your school and country.
