Should I apply to Lehigh ED II? Answered
I really on the fence about this. On the one hand I love the school, but I know money will be a bit higher than I would like. I know the school does not give out really any merit scholarships and aid goes down after freshman year. If I do go, I hope the financial aid office will be able to understand personal family situations and lower the cost. My biggest fear is being in debt, especially since I want to go into psychology. I have gotten good offers at other schools, but Lehigh is still my favorite. I don鈥檛 think I would get in if I don鈥檛 apply ED II. I did the net price calculator for my family and it came to around 31-44K. Would there be any chance of them lowering it to like 20k if I explained that my mom had to leave work and go on disability, along with the fact that my father will be retiring soon?

Hi @Mayz924!
Although ED is binding, you can legally break the agreement if a school doesn't offer enough financial aid. You should apply and try to explain your situation. I can't guarantee that they'll lower it to 20k, but they might try to provide as much aid as possible.
