As college cost of attendance continues to push toward $90,000 for private colleges, more high-achieving students are looking toward top public research universities. Applications increased by 22% across the board. Total acceptance might cross 55,000 this year with total admits in the 9000 range for a lower acceptance rate of around 16% vs 18.69 last year
