Worth Applying Early Decision?

I am applying to Trinity University. It is my top choice school and I really want to go there. However, it is fairly selective (34% acceptance rate) and my chances are currently 44%. However if I apply ED, my chances go up to 55%. As stated before, I really like Trinity and really want to go there. However it's very expensive and I'm not sure if my family can afford it. If I apply ED, there is a chance that I won't be able to afford to attend, but my chances of getting in are a lot higher. Should I apply early decision?

If Trinity U. is your #1 choice and you have a 55% chance of getting in ED, then I would apply to ED because then you see if you are awarded 1 or 20 of the full-ride scholarships or the other merit-based scholarships.

Trinity Tower Scholarship Murchison Scholars and other top applicants will be invited to compete for a full-tuition scholarship at the Trinity Tower Scholars Day competition.

Trinity Tower Scholars Day attendees will compete for one of up to 20 full-tuition scholarships.To be considered for this award, your application for admission must be submitted under an ED I or EA application plan.

Annual full-tuition award

Would you mind sharing some of your stats like GPA, #Aps or #IBs, ECs, test scores?

@Liltrooper, my unweighted GPA is 3.7; my weighted GPA is a 4.6; I've taken 8 AP classes; I've taken 5 community college classes; SAT is pending because I'm waiting on my exam score so I can superscore it (if all goes to plan it should be around a 1340-1360). I am in varsity orchestra (4 years); National Spanish Honor Society (3 years); Science National Honor Society (2 years); National Honor Society (1 year); HOSA (4 years); and I had a summer internship at a Microbiology/Biochemistry lab
