College essay topic help!
Hi! I鈥檓 currently writing my common app essay and I have started writing about the importance of community and how my community has shaped me as a person and allowed me to be a leader. I feel like my topic is not special and doesn鈥檛 stand out/is cliche. Any feedback on this topic and how I can make my essay stand out more?

I actually am currently constructing my essay on a similar topic and adding specific anecdotes helped me a lot to form solid ideas and thoughts about why community will be a priority to me as a college student as well as why it's been important to me throughout high school
