How should I go about Common App activities? Admittedly, my extracurriculars aren't great. Nonetheless, should I add any one-time service opportunities? How about clubs that only met once a month? How would I say how many hours per week I participated, if so?

as always, honesty is the best policy in terms of hours per week and such. since the common app's minimum is one hour per week, i'd just make sure you put an accurate # of weeks (if ur club is monthly, that'd probably be 9 weeks per year). one-time service opportunities are fine to put on too, though put the longer commitment ones first. also, keep in mind that there are a lot of different ways to go about ecs! some people put family responsibilities, jobs, traveling, taking classes, etc. i'm sure it'll turn out great :)
