ECs for intended majorAnswered
i want to major in astronomy/astrophysics/aerospace engineering but the majority of my extracurriculars fall around politics/ government/community service, i would be happy double majoring in international relations or public policy but astro is what i would really like to study
will it matter that i dont have any ECs for astro? should i just do a major that matches my ECs?

No, do what you want to do. The most important part for you is finding the intersectionality between your ECs and interests. How can one supplement the other? By having seemingly contrasting interests, if you can tie them together you will have a massive advantage over applicants that just want to do exclusively aerospace or public affairs. Ensure that you come across as self-aware, and a master of all trades that you partake in. I鈥檓 in a pretty similar boat to you(engineering+poly sci), but I have done my best to tie the two together and distinguish myself in both fields. Best of luck!
