What is a direct med program? How can I apply?Answered
Hello!
I have heard about direct med programs before but I'm not sure exactly what they are, how to apply, and how they work in general. Does becoming a doctor through a direct med program take less time than going to med school?
Also, what universities are good for direct med? Thank you so much :)

Direct Med Programs are BA/MD or BS/MD Dual degree programs

Some are as short as 6 years others 7 or 8 years. With the exception of Brown and Boston University, most BS/MD programs are not offered at Top Medical schools so if prestige, clout, higher lifetime earnings, and better job placement do not matter to you, then go for it.
