What path should I take to get my BSN?
I am going to be a high school senior in the fall. I really want to be a nurse but I know that it is a competitive field and I want to know what the best path is. Can I go to a Cal state? Or should I find a school that will accept me into the BSN program as a freshman? If so, what schools would you recommend?

I'm not sure those two options are mutually exclusive 鈥� there seem to definitely be Cal State schools where you could enter a BSN program as a freshman (for instance, here's Fullerton's page: If you're in California and the Cal State schools would be the best option for you cost and location-wise, it would probably be a good idea. Especially because you should try to avoid debt as best you can, and they should be relatively inexpensive for in-state students.
I also want to be a nursing major and while I was researching I found that you can go to any college and get a BSN in nursing which is 4 years. You are a RN if you get your associates degree in nursing. I would look up school with good nursing programs for undergraduates. I found a lot of school such as Duke, Boston College and Emory. However, feel free to correct me if there is something wrong!
