it's really impossible to say, to be honest. this kind of thing has never happened before so we have nothing to really compare it to. i doubt even the admissions officers themselves could tell you what's exactly going to happen. the most probable thing is that it might be slightly easier to get off the waitlist this year than in other years, but waitlist acceptances are still really rare.
