What type of internships are best for high schoolers interested in the medical field?Answered
Hi, I'm going to be a freshman in the 2020-2021 school year and I'm looking into extracurricular activities that I can take throughout High School. In middle school, I participated in a leadership program called WEB and was accepted into the CJSF program. I am currently interested in the medical field and want to further explore the career options in that field. As of right now, I would like to be a neonatologist or a pediatrician. I was looking into maybe getting some summer internships or shadowing medical professionals at my local hospitals. So, what type of internships would you recommend, or what type of career shadow would be most hands-on? And what should I include in a letter asking for shadowing permissions?
