Just a quick one, friends - where do I find my Common App ID, and why is it important? I've heard it mentioned a few times and I want to make sure I'm not missing something crucial.
Hey there! Your Common App ID (CAID) is a unique number assigned to you when you create a Common App account. It's used to track your application and is found in the upper right corner of the application, right under your name.
It's pretty important because you'll often need it when communicating with colleges or your counselor, especially if they need to match documents to your application, like your transcript or letters of recommendation. It's also handy to have if you鈥檙e contacting the Common App support.
Just jot it down and keep it safe - think of it as your application's social security number! When my kid was applying last year, we kept a doc with all the important numbers and passwords, and it was a lifesaver. Good luck with your applications!
