Hey! I'm feeling overwhelmed by all the standardized testing talk! I'm considering Ithaca College and I can鈥檛 find clear info鈥攄o they need SAT scores or not? If anyone's applied and knows, please help me out!
Hello! I understand that the standardized testing requirements can sometimes be confusing. The good news is that Ithaca College has adopted a test-optional policy. This means that you are not required to submit SAT or ACT scores as part of your application.
However, if you believe your scores accurately reflect your academic abilities, you can choose to submit them. In determining whether to send your scores, consider how they compare to the middle 50% range of admitted students' scores at Ithaca. This data can give you a sense of whether your own scores would strengthen your application.
Keep in mind, though, that the college will make admission decisions holistically, focusing on your coursework, grades, essays, and extracurricular involvement. So, if your scores aren't quite what you'd like, take a deep breath, and focus on the other areas of your application to put your best foot forward. If you need any more help sorting out your college application, don't hesitate to reach out!
