Hey, I'm in a bit of a pickle. How do I fill out my grades in the Common App if my school hasn't given me an official transcript yet? Should I just base it on report cards? Thanks for the help!
Hey there! I totally understand that waiting on an official transcript can be stressful when you're eager to get your applications in. Yes, you can absolutely use your report cards to fill out your grades in the Common App. Just make sure you're inputting the final grades for each course exactly as they appear on your report cards. Colleges understand that sometimes there鈥檚 a delay in getting an official transcript, and your report cards are the next best thing to use as a reference.
After you submit your application, your school will send your official transcript to the colleges you've applied to, and they will use that document to verify the grades you self-reported. So, be sure to enter everything accurately to avoid any potential issues later on in the verification process. Good luck with your applications!
