This might be a silly question, but where do I find my application ID on the Common App? I'm trying to coordinate with my counselor and they've asked for it. Please help a worried junior out! Thank you!
Not a silly question at all! The Application ID is a key piece of information that your counselor needs to track your application, so it's great that you're making sure to provide it. When you log in to your Common App account, navigate to the 'My Colleges' tab. From there, select a college and you'll see the 'Recommenders and FERPA' section. When you click on it, you should be able to find your Application ID near the top of that page.
It's typically a 7- or 8-digit number unique to your application. Just copy that number and send it to your counselor. Remember, every detail counts in the admissions process, and it's impressive that you're staying on top of things like this as a junior! Keep up the proactive work, and if you need more help, don't hesitate to reach out.
