I was looking into international schools, and Canada has some great universities! Just out of curiosity, do Canadian colleges use something like the Common App, or do they have a different system for applications?
Hello there! It's wonderful that you're considering Canadian universities鈥攜ou're right that there are definitely some great options. In terms of application platforms, Canadian institutions do not have their own equivalent of the Common Application. Instead, many Canadian universities have their own individual application processes.
However, there are some provincial systems in place, such as the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC), which serves universities in Ontario and allows you to apply to several institutions with one application. Other provinces like British Columbia and Alberta have similar systems: BC uses the EducationPlannerBC, and Alberta has ApplyAlberta. Be sure to check the specific application procedures for each university you're interested in, as well as the format of the province-based systems, depending on where the institutions you are interested in are located.
If you need more detailed information, the websites for the particular Canadian schools you're thinking of applying to, and for these application platforms, can be quite helpful. Best of luck with your applications!
