So, I'm working out my schedule and I need to know鈥攊s the Common App essay due at the same time as the application itself, or is there a separate deadline?
Hello there! I'm happy to help you with that question. Yes, the Common App essay should be submitted at the same time as the rest of your application. Essentially, it's a package deal鈥攖he essay is a part of your Common Application and isn't considered complete without it. The deadline to submit the Common App can vary depending on the colleges you're applying to.
For instance, if you're applying early decision or early action, the deadline is typically around November 1st or 15th. However, for regular decision, it鈥檚 usually January 1st or thereabouts. Make sure to double-check the deadlines for each college you're applying to since they can sometimes have unique dates. Keep in mind, it's wise to aim to submit your application a little bit before the deadline, just in case you encounter any last-minute issues! Good luck with your application process!
