Hello friends! So I've been researching colleges and I'm interested in the University of California system. I'm a little bit stressed because I don't know whether the UC schools require the Common App or if they have their own separate application platform. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks a ton!
Hello there! I can understand how the application process can be a bit confusing. The University of California (UC) system does not use the Common App. Instead, they have their own dedicated application platform known as the UC Application. To apply to any of the UC schools, you'll need to use this system, which opens for new applicants on August 1st and has a submission period between November 1st and November 30th for fall term admissions.
It's designed specifically for the UC schools, streamlining the process so you only need to fill out one application for all the UC schools you're interested in. Don't forget to check each campus's admissions website for additional requirements or supplemental essays that may be necessary. Best of luck with your application!
