Hi all, I'm in the process of figuring out my college funding and I'm looking for scholarships or programs targeted at African American students that are similar to what TMCF offers. I want to make sure I explore all my options鈥攁ny leads?
Hey there! It's great that you're exploring all your options; financing your education is a significant step. In addition to TMCF, I'd suggest looking into the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), which offers various scholarships and programs tailored for African American students. They partner with different organizations and philanthropists, making a wide range of awards available each year.
Also, considering the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) scholarships could be beneficial. They often have opportunities open to students meeting different sets of criteria. Lastly, don鈥檛 forget to check for scholarships at the colleges you're interested in, as many have funds specifically for students of color. Your state might also have scholarship programs or grants for which you can apply. Keep an eye on those deadlines, and good luck!
