Long story short, I fell in love with UC Santa Cruz's campus and their strong programs in the sciences. But considering how admissions can be super unpredictable, I'm trying to compile a list of similar schools, preferably with a focus on research and a laid-back campus culture. Any ideas would save my life!
I totally understand wanting to find schools with a similar vibe to UCSC! Based on what you're looking for, I'd recommend checking out the University of Oregon. It has a strong focus on research and offers great programs in the sciences. Plus, the campus culture is known for being inclusive and relaxed. Another option might be Evergreen State College in Washington. It鈥檚 known for its non-traditional approach to education and a strong focus on environmental sciences, if that's something you're interested in. Both colleges have beautiful campuses that students often fall in love with. Remember to also consider factors such as location, class sizes, and extracurricular opportunities when making your list. Best of luck with your search!
