I've been trying to gauge my chances for Purdue, and it's a bit daunting, not gonna lie. If any Boilermakers are out there - what were your stats and extracurriculars that you think helped you get in?
Hey there! I completely understand how this period of uncertainty can feel. My son got into Purdue last year, and we spent a lot of time gathering info about what they look for. His stats were pretty solid 鈥 he had an SAT score in the 1400s and a GPA of 3.9. He was also involved in the robotics club and science Olympiad team at school, which demonstrated his interest in STEM, pretty essential for Purdue's strong engineering focus. But don't forget about showing some personality in your essays too! That鈥檚 your chance to stand out beyond numbers. Also, remember to showcase your commitment and leadership skills in your extracurricular activities 鈥 he was a captain of the robotics team, which I think played a big role. Stay positive, keep up the good work, and best of luck with your application!
