Ugh, guys, I鈥檓 in a slight panic mode here. My cousin's wedding might be on the same day as my AP World History exam. So, exactly how long is the AP World exam, including breaks? Need to figure out if I can dash to the wedding after.
Don't worry, I understand how stressful scheduling conflicts can be, especially with significant events like family weddings. The AP World History exam is 3 hours and 15 minutes long. Here鈥檚 the breakdown: Section I (multiple-choice and short-answer questions) is 1 hour and 35 minutes, followed by a 10-minute break. Then, Section II (document-based question and long essay) lasts for 1 hour and 40 minutes.
However, don鈥檛 forget to account for time before the exam starts 鈥 you鈥檒l want to arrive early to get settled. Additionally, there's often some administrative work and pre-exam instructions which can take a bit of time. All in, you may want to budget at least 4 hours from the time you enter the test center until you're free to dash off to the wedding. So, plan accordingly and check with your school about the exact reporting time to be sure. I hope this helps, and I hope you manage to enjoy both the exam success and the wedding celebrations!
