Hey everyone, I鈥檓 trying to understand what kinds of students Notre Dame generally accepts. Could someone share the stats or extracurriculars that are common in the profiles of students who get in? Any info on what makes a competitive applicant to Notre Dame would be super helpful!
Hello there! Great question - Notre Dame is known for seeking well-rounded students with a strong academic record. Typically, accepted students have a high GPA, often above 3.7 unweighted, and strong standardized test scores. For SATs, scores are usually in the range of 1400-1570, while ACT scores tend to be between 33-35. Notre Dame is competitive, so these numbers can give you a general sense of where you might stand academically.
Aside from academics, Notre Dame values community service, leadership, and a clear commitment to extracurricular activities. Involvement in clubs, sports, or other community engagements that show a sustained commitment and growth in leadership roles can be particularly compelling. For example, students who have been part of student government, led a volunteer initiative, or captained a sports team often stand out. Remember, it's the quality of your involvement that matters more than the quantity. Hope this helps give you a clearer picture!
