Hey, could use some help here! I am totally aiming for an Ivy League school, specifically Brown, and I鈥檓 trying to gauge what GPA I should have to stand a chance. I've heard these schools are selective, but what GPA range would put me in a competitive spot?
Hello there! It's wonderful to hear about your ambitions. Brown University, like other Ivy League schools, does indeed have rigorous academic standards. Successful applicants typically have GPAs that are very high 鈥 often 4.0, or close to it, on an unweighted scale. However, Brown does consider the rigor of your high school coursework, so earning a slightly lower GPA with a schedule full of challenging AP or IB classes could still be competitive. Best of luck, and don't hesitate to reach out for further guidance!
