Hey everyone, I'm considering applying to Tufts University and was wondering if it's considered a research university. Are there notable research opportunities for undergraduate students interested in international relations?
Hey there! Tufts University is indeed classified as a research university. Many universities, not just Tufts, offer research opportunities for undergraduate students, so you'll have plenty of chances to participate in and contribute to research projects in your field of interest.
In the case of Tufts and international relations, the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy is one of the top graduate schools in the field, and their experts often collaborate with undergrads on research projects. Also, the Institute for Global Leadership (IGL) encourages undergraduates to get involved in interdisciplinary research on various contemporary global issues. Some specific programs under IGL that you might be interested in are EPIIC (Education for Public Inquiry and International Citizenship) and Inquiry, which both focus on providing research opportunities for undergrads.
Best of luck with your application process!
