Hey everyone! I'm a high school junior and I'm thinking about applying to Ivy League schools. I have a few extracurriculars, but I'm unsure of how many they actually expect from a successful applicant. Can anyone give me an idea of how many activities I should be involved in? Thanks for the help!
Hi there! It's great that you're considering applying to Ivy League schools! When it comes to extracurriculars, there isn't a specific number that these schools are looking for. It's more about the quality and impact you've had within your extracurricular activities. What stands out most is your leadership positions, the passion you exhibit, and the impact you had within your activities.
It's important to focus on activities that genuinely interest you and where you can make a meaningful contribution. So, rather than spreading yourself thin over numerous activities, consider diving deep into a select few you are passionate about. This approach will not only serve you well in the admissions process but also help you develop important skills and experiences for the future. Best of luck!
