I recently checked my GPA and it's a 3.5, but I'm not sure how that translates into letter grades. How would you classify a 3.5 GPA? And is this considered a good GPA for college admissions?
A 3.5 GPA generally translates to around a B+ average. This means that you're receiving slightly above average grades in your courses (B's and some A's).
Whether a 3.5 GPA is considered good for college admissions depends on several factors, such as the level of colleges you're aiming for and the rigor of your course load. If you're targeting highly selective colleges, you'll want to aim for a higher GPA (closer to 4.0) in combination with a challenging curriculum. However, a 3.5 GPA can still be competitive for many colleges, especially if accompanied by a strong mix of extracurriculars and test scores.
