So I'm working on my UC application and was wondering if UCSD has any unique essay prompts apart from the Personal Insight Questions? Or do they use the same ones as other UC schools? Thanks a bunch!
All University of California (UC) schools, including UCSD, use the same Personal Insight Questions for the application. There are no additional unique essay prompts specific to UCSD. You will need to choose four out of the eight Personal Insight Questions provided and respond to each selected question in 350 words or fewer. Your responses should focus on showcasing different aspects of your experiences, talents, and aspirations that aren't fully covered in other parts of your application. UCSD, like other UC schools, will review your essays holistically, which means they will be looking for an authentic representation of who you are.
As you prepare your responses, remember to focus on what makes you unique and how your experiences have shaped your growth and development. Also, be sure to demonstrate your passion for your chosen major or area of interest, and explain why you'd be a good fit for UCSD. Good luck with your application!
